Red Stella
Red Stella will present this seasons first pop up on the Porch with two local artists, Saturday, May 11 from 11am to 3pm. Ling-Yen Jones has been the featured artist at Red Stella since our beginning, working mainly in silver and semi-precious stones, this master jeweler brings her serenity and grace to each one of a kind piece. Ling -Yen defines her work as useful , artistic and symbolic
Her intention for each piece is that its clean looking, distinctive and artistically rendered.
Davina Allen, the great- granddaughter of Lucienne Bloch, Frida Kahlos best friend, grew up with the black and white photographs of Kahlo and was inspired after a trip to the Portland rose garden to bring color to the stunning photos. Davina has digitally incorporated the vivid colors of the roses into her grandmothers images on metal without disturbing the original vision, but adding to its composition and beauty.
