Crocker Holiday Artisan Market
Now a Northern California holiday tradition, this three-day bazaar at Sacramento’s Scottish Rite Center delights art lovers of all ages. As children enjoy photos with Santa and face-painting by the Moonrise Pixies and Elves, adults can meet and speak with artists, browse booths filled with juried works in glass, textiles, wood, ceramics, paper, photography, art jewelry, paintings and sculptures, all offered in a variety of price points.
We thought you would like to know where the funds go and the great things the show makes possible. The show is one of the Crocker’s 4 annual fundraisers and underwrites exhibitions and supports their educational programs throughout the year.
The Creative Arts League sponsors exhibitions regionally, and has funded two endowments at the Crocker. In 2017, we donated $125,000 to the Crocker Art Museum 2017 Retrospective on Ruth Rippon, a well-known Sacramento ceramicist. In 2024, we sponsored the 3rd By Hand Exhibit, an international biennial show, at the Blue Line Gallery in Roseville. This year we awarded grants to Stanford Settlement, Rancho Cordova Arts and SoJourner Truth African Heritage Museum and Mustard Seed School to further their arts programs.
