DESCRIPTION:Art in the Redwoods is holding to tradition with a wide range of art categories – everything from acrylics to weaving – and adding a new one\, video clips. Artists may enter up to five pieces\, and include multiple views of each piece\, all from the convenience of a computer or mobile device. \nOnline Gallery viewers will be able to purchase art online and have it shipped directly from the artist. \nArt awards will total more than $5\,000 this year\, all provided by local sponsors. Award-winning artwork will be selected by the Fine Art Exhibit judges. \nOn Thursday\, August 13\, our Hats Off dinner was transformed into a Boxed Hat Dinner to go. The four course dinner was enjoyed in the safety & comfort of our guests homes. Boxed Hat dinner featured fine food created by St. Orres under the guidance of Executive Chef Rosemary Campiformio. Boxed dinners were $150 (included a $100 donation letter).

DESCRIPTION:This saddens me to say that this has been canceled. \nThis is the second year for Ling-Yen designs to show here in the Edmonds Art Festival. I am so excited to get in. I will be in the field. \nThe Edmonds Arts Festival has grown from a small community art fair to one of the most prestigious in the Pacific Northwest\, attracting artists from across the nation and Canada. The Festival provides a unique opportunity for patrons to meet artists and purchase their work in a beautiful outdoor setting overlooking Puget Sound. The Festival offers free live entertainment\, a juried gallery art exhibition and sale\, a nationally-recognized juried student art exhibit\, and a hands-on children’s art activity area. \nI am very excited to be a part of this new show for Ling-Yen designs.

DESCRIPTION:This is to notify you that this exhibition has been canceled. \nThe Point Arena Light Station was established on September 30\, 1869 and the original tower was first lit on May 1\, 1870.  2020 represents the 150th anniversary of the Point Arena Lighthouse lighting the way on the coast.  This exhibit is intended to celebrate this significant sesquicentennial of a Mendocino coast icon.  The exhibit is open to all types of visual media\, i.e. painting\, photography\, sculpture\, fabric arts\, ceramics\, mixed media\, jewelry\, woodworking\, etc. It will be an exhibit inspired by the Lighthouse and the coast that it protects and represents.

These exhibitors are the reason why this festival attracts such a high percentage of fine artists and crafters whose work you’ll see only at a few select shows on the West Coast. \nAnd don’t forget to stop by and listen to sidewalk piano virtuosos. Located on the plaza at the corner of University & Tasso Streets: Chopin and Chandeliers. For more info. \nAnd\, always a crowd-pleaser\, the Italian Street Painting Expo\, sponsored by the Palo Alto Weekly\, will again offer sixty chalk artists creating larger-than-life works of art all weekend long on Tasso Street. This year’s beneficiary of the funds raised by the Italian Street Painting Expo is Palo Alto’s Youth Community Service. \nLocal participation is high at this event. The Palo Alto Parents & Professionals for Art are the organizers and beneficiaries of the kids’ art & crafts area called the Kids’ Art Studio. Also\, the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto will again manage and serve the micro-brews and fine wines that can be found throughout the festival. \nPLEASE NOTE: the City of Palo Alto has a ban on the use of plastic & paper bags for carrying purchased merchandise. The Chamber of Commerce highly recommends that festival attendees bring their own tote bags for easy transportation of multiple purchases. \nFor those driving to the festival\, free parking is within a block or two of the festival site\, with parking for disabled patrons in all city lots. Festival attendees though are encouraged to use public transit or ride a bike.
